GOVIS miniConference in May

There are many opportunities in the next 7-8 weeks to keep informed and to network. As well as the activities in Identity month during April, GOVIS is running a mini-conference in May.

GOVIS runs a 3-day conference every other year; 2008 would normally be a non-conference year. But due to demand, GOVIS are running a 1-day conference, in Wellington, on Friday the 2nd of May. The mini-conference has 4 streams:

  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Geospatial
  • Green IT: Sustainable Computing
  • Information Management

I am speaking in the Enterprise Architecture and Sustainable Computing streams. In the Enterprise Architecture stream, Mike Pearson and I will be kicking-off the afternoon sessions with a presentation on how Enterprise Architecture can deliver real value in government. In the Sustainable Computing stream, I am reviewing what the public service in other countries are doing in ‘Green IT’.
